Okay. This item showed up today, 8/1/20.Packaging was A+. The box had two of those yellow plastic bands around it, and *those* were taped over. Clever.Everything was packed neatly and smartly, surrounded by pieces of styrofoam. I elected to unpack everything outside and wipe it down, to cut down on little foam pieces making it inside. Initial inspection of all pieces showed no flaws or scratches. You can't really ask more with furniture delivery.Assembly was A+. If you've ever put together 'locknut' type of furniture before, that's what this is. Dowels and locknuts and locknut anchors. There are 4 long screws and 12 short ones. Everything was clearly marked and instructions were clear, even with just pictures. The last step, attaching the lid, was challenging since I did it myself, where the instructions recommend you have a couple of pals holding it in place while you attach the final 12 screws. Even so, I managed by using my legs as something to press against, and came at it over the top and then inside. It wasn't *fun*, but it worked just fine. For reference, I'm 6'1" and not a skinny frame. If you have people handy, utilize them on this last step. Between changing albums on the record player, and taking drinks of coffee, assembly took me almost exactly an hour. I did not rush.Important to note - you are not provided any tools. You *could* assemble the entire thing with just a phillips screwdriver, but for the 4 long screws and all of the locknut anchors I used a power screwdriver (drill with a phillips bit on low torque).Storage is a B+. If it had just been an inch deeper inside, I could have stored my BluRays spine-up. As is, I have to stack them on top of one another, and that stackable number is 8 if you want to go to the rim. 7 would look nicer I think. Not the end of the world. Overall, *plenty* of space for everything, remotes, console controllers, movies, coasters, whatever. As the title says, I really can't imagine you'd find anything better at this price. A lot of these types of tables at around the 100 mark had a lot of mixed reviews. I'm glad I ponied up the extra cash for this. I quite literally had zero problems and couldn't have asked for more for the price.Although a small challenge to put together (I'm NOT mechanically inclined), it looks GREAT and seems very sturdy. I keep it lifted with a 17" laptop and 24 inch monitor (an Alexa too) and it simply works and works well. It is easy open and close the top. I think you'll like this design.Had damage when deliveredSmaller than expected but that's actually perfect! It's really quiet when you open and close it too which was something we were worried about. You're able to close it slowly as well but it can snap closed if you don't open it all the way so just watch your hands and the kids hands.
